2016 Matthew Wallace Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
The 2016 vintage of Matthew Wallace is crafted by winemaker Julien Fayard by grapes grown on the Wallace Ranch in the Pope Valley. The wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, classically-styled and fermented in small lots with the intention to choose only those that reflect the best of the site and vintage.
The 2016 Matthew Wallace Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an impressive example of a classic Napa Valley Cabernet, capturing aromas of Bing cherry and a hint of sweet strawberry, mingled with tobacco and dark chocolate. Concentrated, it reflects perfect levels of ripeness with a well-rounded mouthfeel that makes this wine immediately approachable. A great introduction to the Matthew Wallace Wines portfolio. – Julien Fayard, Winemaker
