Nearly opaque deep purple hue in the glass with a dark garnet halo.  Intricately woven aromatic notes suggest cedar bark, boysenberry, spearmint, and loam.  The entry of this wine has a decidedly fruit-forward approach with a pleasingly structural mid-palate defined by earth-focused and umami notes.  While young and tightly packed now, with a few hours in the decanter or a few years in the cellar this wine will show it's true decadent, expressive nature.
